The Cindy Wentworth Award, established in 2020, was created and named in honor of long-time School of Law employee Cindy Wentworth. This annual award recognizes School of Law staff members whose innovation and collaboration goes far above and beyond their normal job duties to help create a community that is positive, supportive, and constantly seeking new ways to grow.

The Cindy Wentworth Award is open to all Law School staff, including senior administrators. All current faculty, administrators, and staff members are eligible to submit nominations.

Cindy Wentworth served members of the Law School community for nearly two decades. Over that score, she brought a creative and innovative spirit to countless tasks. She was always generous with her time, serving as an administrative assistant for numerous faculty members and deans. She organized what was likely tens of thousands of letters of recommendation, administered thousands of take-home exams, and patiently helped faculty committees host thousands of visitors, including prospective faculty members, judges, and workshop speakers. Cindy retired from the School of Law in 2020.
